In this episode of The Short Term Show, Avery welcomed Laura Sides, a former middle school biology teacher who transitioned into real estate investing. Laura shared her journey from teaching to becoming a stay-at-home mom to discovering her passion for real estate and the challenges she has faced along the way. Laura explained her strategy of using HELOCs for short-term flips and paying them off quickly, rather than using them for long-term investments. She also touched on her experience transitioning to property manager for their short term rentals and they discussed the difficult task of firing property managers.
